Duszak Appraisal Company is a residential appraisal firm primarily serving New Castle, Delaware with secondary coverage in Cecil County, MD.
Owner, Martin J. Duszak is a native Delawarean with over 20 years experience in various areas of real estate.  After graduation from the University of Delaware in 1972 he began buying and selling investment properties, rehabbing houses, and was active in property management.

 

Since 1985 he has been appraising residential real estate.  For a three-year period in the early 1990’s Martin was the manager of a local appraisal company.  A primary responsibility included quality control appraisal review and training of newly hired appraisers.

 

Duszak Appraisal Company was started in April 1995 and has steadily grown into a team of appraiser professionals with over 52 years of combined appraisal experience. Duszak Appraisal Company provides a full range of appraisal services for:   Relocation; PMI Removal; Mortgage & Refinancing; Home Equity; FHA; and Estate.

Martin is a strong proponent of appraisal education.  His extensive course work ranges from Historic Property Valuation to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.  The various courses and seminars he has taken are over 370 hours.  By way of comparison, a typical four-year college degree has a 125-hour requirement.
